(((Stereo))) - 12 Years

Talk about celebrating 12 years of (((Stereo))), so many memories, so much music, and more. They are talking about a new dance floor, so I imagine they are reopening Stereo Bar, you know that place that always trapped the people for a couple of more hours down in the basement. How many times I stayed longer because the music was so good, and the underground feeling was too much to resist.

Stereo, I wish you all the best with many more parties to come, and looking at the schedule below it will be very difficult just to go once in November.

Montreal Halloween Weekend 2011

This is going to be my third consecutive Halloween that I'm not in Montreal, and it is going to be very busy in Montreal, and don't forget there is also Victor Calderone with his new night at Stereo - curious to see what road he will take this time. I wish I could review any of this upcoming parties, but instead you might see some of my comments about IRIS, the new Cirque du Soleil show, I will try to keep you posted.

Surprise of the week: (((Tenaglia)))

Yes, you read correctly, Danny Tenaglia is spinning this coming Thursday (October 12, 2011) at Stereo. He came up for the Black & Blue this past weekend, and not sure if it was something planned, or something that just happened while he was here, but he is now scheduled to spin at Stereo this week. It will be good for those that didn't make it to the Olympic garage this past Sunday, so if you are not working Friday, get your dancing shoes ready and BE YOURSELF.

Bali - February 2012

Bali has been in my mind for a long time now, and basically while my best friend is travelling the world, and I know he is going to be around that area in February 2012 I'm planning (just an idea for now) to perhaps meet up with him in Bali. Need your input here guys, if you have been there, let me know the dos and don'ts of the island - my idea is to stay for at least 3 weeks because there is no way I'm travelling around the world just to spend a couple of days. Please email me if you have some interesting information to share.

Rock in Rio 2011

This music festival is expected to attract over 700,000 people, it is like Electric Zoo times 10. The festival has changed and the music has changed, and obviously you get the purists complaining that too much non rock artists have been invited for the 2011 edition. Personally I don't believe in living in the past and the new generation needs to mark their festival, as the past generations did in 1984, and following editions even the ones outside Brazil. and if you want to watch the show live, just click HERE
