Call in Gay?

The California Proposition 8 has created a new group in the United States, and they want all American gay people to call in gay on December 10. "Take the day off work and volunteer to be of service" is what this group is asking, and I'm just wondering if this is going to work. Didn't they have a movie of America without Mexicans no long ago?
