Hey I'm a native New Yorker but I've never been to either the Black Party or Alegria. I really want to go this year for the first time, but I can't make it to both. Which one should I go to? Any advice or recommendations?
If I had to pick between the Black Party or Alegria, I would go with the Black party. Why? The Black party only happens once a year, and Alegria it is every third month of so. On top of that, Stéphan Grondin - one of my favourites djs from Montreal - has been chosen, along Jonathan Peters, to entertain the boys with his music. Nevertheless, I strongly advise to do both parties.
There is a big difference between the both parties! Black Party is really sleazy, dirty, almost filthy. dont underestimate what u gonna see there on the dancefloor and around. Alegria is not for kids either but for sure more "normal"
